Sonneman–A Way of Light has launched Proton, a new LED lighting system composed of thin nickel-based rods with glass bulbs on each end, configured in geometric triangular patterns. The Proton pendants are available in two styles: Proton Alpha and Proton Beta. Proton Alpha is a bottom-weighted tripod and Proton Beta is its larger, double pyramid counterpart. For further customization, each style is offered in three unique finishes.
The delicate but inherently strong connection of rigid triangular forms describes the achievement of structural volume from minimal elements. Named for a subatomic particle and the building block of energy, Proton radiates light from glass luminaires that terminate each intersecting rod.
