Canadian design studio hollis+morris has launched the Willow sconce.
A new member of the Bloom collection of lighting, the Willow sconce showcases the interplay of materials—blown glass, metal and wood—and highlights the surrounding wood grain of a bud. The light recalls a strong branch reaching skyward as if it is a newly budded bough.
The Willow sconce is designed to make communal spaces look modern. Wood is used to create the mount of the lamp, with oak and walnut that is sourced from renewable forest streams found in the United States and Canada. The branch-like design itself is made of different metal finishes in black or white, presenting the design as chic lighting with hand-blown glass.
