To celebrate Hans J. Wegner’s more than 70 years of collaboration with Carl Hansen & Son, the company is now expanding its collaboration with London-based designer Ilse Crawford to include the Wishbone Chair in nine new colors. From now until December, a new color will be released every month, including Pewter (March), Hollyhock (April), and Barley (May).
Wegner originally designed the CH24 Wishbone Chair in 1949. To give the chair a modern-day refresh, Carl Hansen & Son and Crawford curated nine matte colors meant to give the chair a new perspective. All colors and finishes are eco-friendly, water-based and resilient. The colors celebrate plants, minerals and the soil that make up the Nordic landscape, and they work both individually and in interaction with each other.
