Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering has unveiled its latest line of wallcovering designs, this time partnering with American artist, fashion designer and illustrator Rebecca Moses. The collection, Rebecca Moses x Momentum, will debut at BDNY 2024, Nov. 10-11 in New York City.
Many designs in the new collection draw key elements from two of Moses’ portraits, “The Queen” and “Kimono Lady”, resulting in 10 distinct wallcovering prints. Reflection features The Queen’s portrait; Deco Dreams showcases an art deco-inspired repetition of The Queen’s broach; and Queen’s Dots and Queen’s Montage are kaleidoscope interpretations of patterns within the illustration. The Kimono Lady portrait is showcased in Close Up; Kimono Mosaic is a maximalist repetition of her clothing; Kimono Untamed is a black-and-white maximalist pattern; and Fleur translates the portrait’s floral watercolor elements to a large-scale wallcovering. The collection also includes Portrait Gallery, a selection of Moses’s painted women figures, and Have A Seat, a repetitive exploration of Moses’s watercolor chair illustrations.
