Sleek Floor Lamp: Luminator from Flos

Flos has brought its Luminator lamp back. The ultra-sleek, minimal floor lamp has been updated with a new palette of colors, upgraded features, modern technology and increased sustainability.

Originally launched in 1954 by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni with its simple tripod design, Luminator is an exercise in functional minimalism and remains modern over 60 years later. Now back in new colorways that accentuate its streamlined shape, this design takes on new character in a palette of yellow, red, white and light blue in addition to the original anthracite. A new painting technique also guarantees a more sustainable design process and product.

The Luminator floor lamp perches on three delicate metal legs that support a slender cylinder stem, on top of which the LED and diffuser cast an indirect ambient light. The yellow hue is inspired by the trademark color of the Achille Castiglioni Foundation.
