Lunada Bay Tile has launched Shelter Island by Jonathan Adler, a ceramic tile collection inspired by the sun, the sand, the clouds and the architecture of the designer’s Long Island, N.Y., home.
The collaboration brings Adler’s expressions to ceramic tile, combining eclecticism and midcentury style—all reimagined through the lens of traditional hand-sculpted Japanese ceramics. The tiles are inspired by the colors of Adler's beachfront retreat. The quiet, semimatte hues are harmonious with both minimalist and maximalist spaces. The semitransparent glazes accentuate the tiles’ handcrafted textures and dimension to add subtle depth to a bath, spa or as an accent wall.
