Upcycled Yarn: In Good Company from Pallas Textiles

Contract textile maker Pallas Textiles has launched In Good Company, a new collection made from recycled ocean plastic.

The six-textile collection uses upcycled polyester yarn made of marine and post-consumer plastic from the Seaqual Initiative that transforms ocean litter into recycled plastic.

Sourced and manufactured entirely in the United States, the collection's reduced carbon footprint and recycled materials can help hoteliers meet growing demand for environmentally responsible textiles. Globally, the textile industry is responsible for 10 percent of carbon emissions and 20 percent of water pollution.

Pallas Textiles, mill Valdese Weavers and design studio Limn & Loom have each pledged a portion of proceeds from In Good Company to the Seaqual Foundation.
