California hotel upgrades meeting rooms

The Sheraton Palo Alto (Calif.) has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of two of its meeting spaces: Justine's Ballroom and The Juniper Ballroom.

The Juniper Ballroom, located on the lower level, covers 2,550 square feet and accommodates up to 250 people for receptions. The space divides into three sections and has a prefunction area. Justine’s Ballroom, adjacent to the lobby, is 4,300-square-feet and accommodates up to 350 people for receptions. The ballroom also divides into three sections and has windows overlooking the pond. The renovations give the property a total event space of 10,614 square feet across 11 event rooms, including four boardrooms.

The new space was designed by Oakland, Calif.-based architecture and interiors firm Arcsine. San Francisco-based Pankow Builders completed the 11-month renovation. The hotel, which is operated by Pacific Hotel Management, remained open during construction.

Set between Stanford University and downtown Palo Alto, the 346-room hotel has teleconferencing, audiovisual equipment, projectors and Wi-Fi capabilities in its meeting spaces.
