Philpotts & Associates reimagines Hawaiian-inspired Ritz-Carlton on Maui

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on Maui completed the renovation of its one- and two-bedroom residences, along with other additional enrichments in the property.

Philpotts & Associates Interior Design infused contemporary furnishings and Hawaiian influences. The reimagined interior décor was influenced by the hotel’s surroundings, including the earthy tones of the island’s mountains and natural rainforest, to the blue of the ocean. The color palette included green, brown and cream. The property now also has new furnishings, as well as artwork created by local artisans.

The enhanced kitchen now has a double burner stovetop, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, convection microwave and an eat-up bar. Kitchens have china, glassware, cutlery, cookware, utensils and appliances (toaster, blender and Nespresso coffee maker).

The one-bedroom residences have a separate bedroom with a king bed and a pull-out sofa in the living room.  Two-bedroom units also have a connected second bedroom with two queen beds and separate bathroom.

In addition to newly renovated residential suites, the hotel has a new lounge chairs, sunbeds and palapas at the 10,000 square foot, three-tier swimming pool and 20,000 square foot sundeck. Internet connectivity was enhanced throughout the hotel. The 24-hour ocean-view fitness center was also transformed with new equipment and machines.

The property also has an enhanced lobby lanai with fire pits and lounge seating. The Burger Shack is a new beachfront restaurant.

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua is an AAA Five-Diamond oceanfront property located on 54 acres of Maui’s lush northwest shore. The hotel is part of the 23,000-acre master-planned Kapalua resort on Maui.
