St. Regis Punta Mita wraps phase one of renovation

The St. Regis Punta Mita in Mexico completed the first phase of its propertywide reinvention project, with phase two set to begin later this year. The property improved the lobby and concierge areas, a selection of guestrooms and suites including eight ocean front beach villas, the Altamira lobby bar, Las Marietas restaurant and bar, the Marietas pool and beach and the outdoor wedding spaces. The renovations were designed by B-Huber.

Local craftsmanship and architecture inspired the design of the reinvention, bringing together natural textures and materials such as travertine marble, blown glass, clay tiles, hammered brass and silk rugs to form a Mexican-Mediterranean essence.

The entire St. Regis Punta Mita oceanfront villas portfolio has been reimagined with large open spaces, apertures and local materials. Giving a sense of privacy, each villa now includes larger outdoor spaces with a private dipping pool. New in-room amenities include a Gold Beauty Bar used to help create a lifting effect and better penetration of facial products.

Inspired by the concept of Mexican-Mediterranean architecture as well as the arched patios' pigmented walls, stone columns, frescos and colored tiles of traditional Mexican haciendas, the newly designed guestrooms and suites reflect the resort’s location and climate, integrating a strategic use of color, lighting and natural elements.

The two-story infinity pool the Marietas pool and beach is surrounded by residential loungers, daybeds and cabanas. The St. Regis Punta Mita also has two Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses on 380 acres as well as six food-and-beverage dining outlets including the Mexican Pacific Carolina.

The St. Regis Punta Mita will begin phase two of its renovation project beginning in May and it will include the remainder of guestrooms and suites, the Beach Club and the Remède Spa.
