IDeaS, a SAS company, reported increased adoption of its commercial strategy solutions, citing growing demand from hotel operators for technologies that connect revenue management, marketing, sales and operational decision-making.
According to the Minneapolis-based company, more than 1,600 hotels adopted its Rate Data Advantage market intelligence platform within the first 100 days of launch. IDeaS also said nearly 40 percent of independent hotels, small groups and regional chains within its client base now use Optix, a business performance analytics tool. The company's portfolio also includes RevPlan for budgeting and forecasting, Function Space for group and event space management and Spotlight for marketing optimization.
“Optix has really allowed me to look at the data in an easier and more effective way,” Ruth Eddy, revenue manager, Bavarian Inn Lodge, said in a statement. “I’m no longer spending time collating data I need to review—instead I have it readily available and can put strategies into play a lot faster.”
“Revenue management is evolving into commercial strategy, and hotel organizations are looking for technology that helps connect decisions across revenue, marketing, sales and operations,” said Ravi Mehrotra, president, founder and chief scientist, IDeaS.
According to IDeaS, small groups and regional chains have been among the fastest adopters of its commercial strategy tools as they seek to strengthen commercial planning without adding organizational complexity.
