HSMAI opens submissions for 2026 Adrian Awards; hits 70-year milestone

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International has opened submissions for the 2026 Adrian Awards, marking the 70th anniversary of the hospitality and travel marketing competition.

The Adrian Awards recognize excellence in hospitality and travel marketing across advertising, public relations, integrated marketing, digital innovation, social media, experiential marketing and other disciplines. Winners will be announced during the Adrian Awards Celebration on March 4, 2027, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

The competition includes 34 award categories covering areas such as AI-powered marketing, content marketing, customer experience innovation, commercial strategy, reputation management, search and performance marketing, sustainability, technology and analytics, video, websites and social media engagement.

New for the 2026 competition are Best Campaign categories recognizing work from airlines, attractions, cruise lines, destination marketing organizations, hotels and resorts, online travel agencies, restaurants and dining and short-term rentals.

“The Adrian Awards have commemorated the very best in hospitality and travel marketing for 70 years, celebrating the ideas, campaigns and people who continue to move our industry forward,” Brian Hicks, president and CEO of HSMAI, said in a statement. “As we mark this milestone anniversary, we're proud to honor both the remarkable legacy of the Adrian Awards and the innovative work that will define the next generation of travel marketing.”

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of more than 200 hospitality, media, digital marketing and communications professionals. Submissions are judged on objectives, strategy, creativity, execution and results. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be presented, with Gold winners advancing for Platinum Award consideration and the Best of Show honors.

The submission deadline is Sept. 15. Full details regarding submission requirements, eligibility criteria and category information are available at adrianawards.hsmai.org.
