HM Exclusive: ESA to add HotelKey CRS

Extended Stay America is expanding its use of HotelKey products at its properties with the addition of its central reservation system. ESA already uses a portfolio of HotelKey products at its properties, including HotelKey’s property-management system since 2018 and its call center module since 2020.

HotelKey’s cloud-based CRS product includes direct connectivity to leading online travel agencies and global distribution systems, an easy-to-use call center module, integration with channel managers and seamless integration with the HotelKey PMS.

“ESA’s search for a modern, state-of-the-art CRS system led them to us, and we were excited to expand our relationship with them further,” said Aditya Thyagarajan, HotelKey’s co-founder and president. “HotelKey is always looking for ways to improve hotel operations. We are confident in our ability to manage ESA’s distribution thanks to the success of our previous integrations, including our property management system and our Find and Reserve call center system.”

The CRS will be rolled out in two stages, beginning with a pilot and then a full application of the system. The process is expected to take nine to 12 months to complete. The entire ESA portfolio will be on the new system.

“We are pleased to continue working with HotelKey, with the addition of its CRS product,” said John Laplante, chief information officer at Extended Stay America. “HotelKey has helped enable innovation of our tech platforms and further provides strategic value to our business.”

According to the companies, the addition of the HotelKey CRS brings ESA even deeper, more comprehensive operational benefits from a suite of integrated software solutions that are helping more than 4,000 hotels worldwide to streamline operations and costs. HotelKey and ESA will work closely together to implement the CRS system across its portfolio of hotels with the goal of converting all hotels by the end of 2023.
