Leading Hotels of the World, Life House join forces

The Leading Hotels of the World and hotel management company Life House are teaming up to provide a turnkey solution for independent hotel owners and developers. The solution pairs Leading Hotels’ global infrastructure of sales, marketing and distribution with Life House’s technology platform, including its proprietary revenue-management and marketing system and operating platform that automates key back-office functions. Life House now will be a preferred management strategic partner of Leading Hotels, aiming to help hotel owners and real estate developers drive return on investment, profitability and brand recognition.

Leading Hotels has a portfolio of more than 400 properties across 80 countries, while Life House has more than 60 properties open or under development across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada, which includes both independent and Life House branded hotels. One of Leading Hotels’ historic properties, The Wheatleigh in Lenox, Mass., has been managed by Life House since 2020.

“The Wheatleigh is a great example of the value that Life House brings to independent hotels, driving profitability for the owner and elevating the guest experience through technology,” Chris Walker, SVP and chief commercial officer at The Leading Hotels of the World, said in a statement. “We are excited to find new opportunities together that combine Leading Hotels’ standards of excellence with Life House’s innovative platform designed with today’s traveler in mind.”

“We are honored to work with The Leading Hotels of the World to usher in a new era of high-end hospitality,” said Rani Gharbie, SVP of acquisitions and head of urban growth at Life House. “Our technology platform has proven to adapt to any hotel, including five-star properties like the Wheatleigh, and we are looking forward to growing our luxury portfolio in North America and beyond.”

Both companies are actively seeking opportunities in drive-to-leisure and urban core markets within North America. Several new hotels are under development.
