Mindtrip launches AI-powered hotel search, booking platform

Mindtrip has launched Mindtrip Stays, an AI-powered hotel search and booking platform that uses a conversational interface designed to help travelers find accommodations based on their preferences.

The newly launched platform draws on live inventory from providers including Priceline, Nuitee, Expedia, Booking.com and Agoda. The launch follows the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company's recent introduction of Mindtrip Flights and expands its travel planning platform to include both transportation and lodging.

Mindtrip Stays allows users to describe the type of accommodations they are seeking, including location, amenities, budget, room configuration and loyalty preferences. The platform analyzes available hotel options, explains why properties match a traveler's criteria and enables bookings either through Mindtrip or directly with the supplier.

"Travelers don't think in filters; they think in goals, preferences and tradeoffs,” Andy Moss, co-founder and CEO of Mindtrip, said in a statement. “They're balancing location, amenities, reviews, room types, dates and budget all at once, and most tools force them to evaluate those factors separately. Mindtrip Stays reasons across all of them simultaneously. This is the same shift we're driving with Flights: moving travelers from search to AI-assisted decision-making at the moments that matter most.”

With Mindtrip Stays, users can search for accommodations using natural language and the platform evaluates pricing, amenities, guest reviews, room-level details and other traveler preferences to identify suitable options. Mindtrip Stays also monitors pricing and availability after a search, notifying users of rate changes.

According to the company, future updates will include recommendations that incorporate hotel loyalty status, memberships and credit card benefits when evaluating lodging options. Mindtrip also plans to expand inventory to include short-term rentals and campsites.
