Otelier plans to showcase the latest version of TruePlan—its budgeting and forecasting platform for the hospitality industry—at the upcoming HITEC in San Antonio.
The Atlanta, Ga.-based company said the updated platform includes new tools designed to support hotel owners, operators and management companies with budgeting, forecasting and portfolio-level planning. Among the new additions is Critique, a workflow feature designed to allow property teams to provide commentary and context around performance results, forecast changes and operational challenges directly within the platform.
“We’ve spent countless hours meeting with hotel owners, operators, finance leaders, accountants and general managers to understand how they actually manage budgets and forecasts,” Russell Meek, head of product for TruePlan at Oelier, said in a statement. “The enhancements we’ve introduced in TruePlan, including Critique, are a direct result of that feedback. We’re focused on delivering practical tools that make planning easier, improve collaboration and ultimately help hotels operate more profitably.”
According to Otelier, Critique enables hotel leaders to document factors such as monthly variances, labor trends, market conditions and forecast assumptions, while allowing above-property teams to review and respond to feedback across a portfolio. The feature is intended to centralize commentary alongside operational and financial performance data.
The company said the functionality supports configurable review schedules, reporting thresholds and commentary requirements, and can be used for monthly, quarterly and other recurring planning cycles.
Additional updates released for TruePlan in 2026 include enhancements to forecast workflow visibility, expanded portfolio-level forecasting views and collaboration tools designed to improve coordination among operations, finance, accounting and ownership teams.
