Shilo Inns installs new sales and catering system

Shilo Inns installed STS Cloud Hotel sales and catering software system throughout all its properties with group meeting business. Shilo Inns operates 15 properties in the western United States.

“All our hotels with high-traffic group sales use STS Cloud sales and catering software from,” Jody Cadle, director of sales and catering for Shilo Inns’ Ocean Shores, Wash., office, said in a statement. “It manages our properties’ sales processes, complex meeting and catering events and group bookings, and our staff learned it quickly. STS Cloud transformed our catering and event processes and enables our team to close more business. We have large airport hotels and conference center properties, and hotels with less meeting space, and STS Cloud meets all the needs of each one.”
When clients book a new event STS automatically imports relevant account information into the current draft proposal, banquet event order, contract or other documents to streamline the proposal and booking cycle. Shilo Inns simply reviews the new proposal or booking, adds dates and the event’s current information to documents and provides to the client. “For sleeping rooms, STS creates rooming lists quickly via its interface with our [property-management system],” Cadle said. “Our PMS holds a group room file and STS Cloud updates the group block pick-up automatically so we always have current group attainment.” 

Billing is very easy in the STS Cloud hotel sales and catering software because the invoice is based on a client’s approved banquet event order, so banquet checks are always accurate to show what was actually delivered to the event. 
“Since STS Cloud is web-based, my team and I can remotely access our properties’ sales activity to track goal attainment from my phone,” Cadle said. “When I make sales calls, it is easy to review a client’s info before a meeting to refresh my memory. If a client asks about dates for a future event I immediately verify the availability of meeting and sleeping rooms. This lets my team and I book business quickly with greater confidence.”
