TPI Hospitality upgrades labor management platform

Hotel managemennt company TPI Hospitality has adopted UniFocus' labor management and time and attendance platforms for its properties. TPI Hospitality has currently implemented time and attendance systems across its portfolio with labor management soon to follow.

Both solutions will be deployed at the Margaritaville resort, currently under construction in Fort Myers Beach, Fla., and due to open next year.

“Within just our F&B operations alone, UniFocus has greatly impressed us with their ability to fully resolve our key needs in managing hotel staff teams, ensuring that our resources are always aligned to deliver on heightened guest expectations,” TPI Hospitality COO Robert Kisabeth said in a statement. “The company’s proven technology will no doubt play a central role as our portfolio continues to expand and as we strive to provide each of our guests with swifter and more responsive high-quality service.”

Key to the decision to partner with UniFocus is the provider’s ability to offer a solution capable of integrating with third-party platforms and leveraging advanced AI, not only automating the scheduling process but delivering granular insight into precisely where and when staff resources are needed. Labor management by UniFocus forecasts anticipated service demand levels, both by the hour and by department. This in turn results in the automatic designing of optimized work schedules, ensuring that each department always has the necessary resources to deliver exceptional guest experiences, while eliminating the risks of under- or overstaffing that can result in employee burnout or increased costs.

By adopting the labor management solution, TPI Hospitality also streamlines hotelier abilities to effectively cross-utilize employees within hotels and across multiple properties in markets where they manage several locations. The platform can automatically identify the individual skillsets of each employee to resolve potential labor shortage issues by appointing appropriately skilled workers to staff various departments as their respective demand volumes change.
