Uniguest has acquired both Otrum AS, a digital engagement provider to the hospitality industry, and CPI Global's hospitality division.
Founded in 1985 and based in Oslo, Norway, Otrum AS provides interactive TV and digital signage solutions. CPI Hospitality has provided managed digital signage service and music solutions for hotels, including on-site support, for more than 10 years. CPI’s hospitality technology is widely adopted in France with significant contracts with leading brands in the hotel industry.
“Uniguest has an incredible range of customers both in hospitality and in other markets, with an unrivaled product set, and so we see them as the perfect partner to pass on the baton in servicing our loyal clients and to taking on development of our digital signage CMS,” said CPI CEO Georges Habibian in a statement.
Otrum AS CEO Stein Surlien will stay on with Uniguest after the acquisition. “There are few companies who have such an impressive array of clients, deep and lasting partnerships in their chosen markets and as broad a range of technologies as Uniguest," Surlien said. "To join this team was an easy decision, we believe in the vision of the Uniguest leadership team and are excited to be part of it. We have worked hard to build a great business and exceptional technology platform that we are rightly very proud of, and we are excited by the prospect of the coming together of our business with Uniguest.”
Uniguest is a portfolio company of Atlantic Street Capital and adding Otrum and CPI hospitality division marks its first and second acquisitions of 2022 following on from Janus Displays, Sagely, UCView, Volara and Planet eStream in 2021.
