UrVenue advances AI strategy with active MCP development

Continuing expansion of its artificial intelligence strategy, hotel technology platform UrVenue revealed active development toward Model Context Protocol enablement, with a targeted release in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to position its platform for emerging AI-driven commerce environments, as consumer discovery and booking behaviors continue to evolve, according to the Las Vegas, Nev.-based company.

Over the past year, the company has tested AI applications across product development and operational workflows. A central component of the roadmap is MCP enablement, currently in advanced development, which the company expects to support more seamless interaction between experience inventory and AI-powered systems.

“AI is fundamentally changing how travel demand is created and captured,” Cedric Ancellin, chief AI scientist and chief technology officer of UrVenue, said in a statement. “Our focus is on ensuring that venue- and property-level experience inventory is not only bookable, but also discoverable and actionable within the next generation of AI-driven environments.”

The AI initiative is designed to align with the company’s broader platform strategy, enhancing both its venue management system and property experience management system, and supporting continued growth in experience-based revenue streams across hospitality.
