Josh.ai has selected Volara, part of the Uniguest group of engagement technologies, as its choice partner for hotel applications of its hardware products, including Josh Micro, Josh Nano and Josh Core.
“Josh.ai is not for every hotelier,” David Berger, CEO of Volara and EVP of the voice division at Uniguest, said in a statement. “But Josh.ai is a must-have for those hoteliers who aim to serve today’s global elite. The world’s highest-end city-center accommodations and most exclusive luxury resorts are not replacing their highly trained professional staff with automation, but they are committed to providing their guests with the experiences and privacy they deserve with the control of their environment that they’re accustomed to in their luxury homes. Josh.ai ... provides the most natural and security conscious solution for controlling a hotel guest room just by speaking.”
IHG recently implemented Josh.ai at the Kimpton Rowan Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., which has integrations with Ketra Lighting from Lutron, shades from Lutron, speakers from Sonos, the Frame TV from Samsung, Dish TV and Roku. The voice-controlled solution was also complemented by an IPort-mounted iPad through which guests could choose tap control for those quiet moments when voice is not suitable.
At launch, Volara and Josh.ai will support connected devices across lighting, shading, climate and entertainment brands.
