Zaplox, Akia partner for guest engagement

Mobile provider Zaplox AB has partnered with guest engagement platform Akia. The new partnership provides hotel guest apps with a 24/7 communications channel between guests and staff. 

Akia is a cloud-based guest engagement platform that lets hotel staff communicate directly with guests. The platform also lets hoteliers build customer-facing workflows and distribute them through text messaging.

Zaplox's product portfolio includes turnkey mobile guest apps with mobile check-in, checkout, payment, mobile key, personalized offers and guest communication through a hotel's custom-branded app and kiosk self-service products for handling check-in, checkout, payment and printing of key cards. The solutions let guests manage check-in and checkout by themselves and get their hotel room key delivered directly through the mobile app, allowing hotel staff to focus on other revenue-generating services.

For Akia's hotel customers, the partnership with Zaplox means it can now offer functionality for mobile check-in/checkout and mobile keys. For Zaplox, the collaboration with Akia means that the company's mobile guest platform have more options for guest communication that are made directly available in Zaplox's guest-focused products.
