Hilton names new EVP, general counsel

Anne-Marie D’Angelo has been appointed the new executive vice president and general counsel at Hilton, following former general counsel Kristin Campbell who retires this month after a 12-year career at Hilton and more than 35 years in the corporate legal community.

D’Angelo most recently was chief legal and government affairs officer at Molson Coors Beverage Company and has held general counsel and leadership roles at several public companies, including public utility company NiSource and Global Brass and Copper Holdings. She spent more than a decade on the McDonald’s legal team and brings experience in serving global organizations with a franchise model. She serves on the PODER25 Advisory Council and as a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and Hispanic National Bar Association. Anne-Marie has also earned recognition for her contributions to the legal profession, including from Corporate Counsel Women, Crain’s Chicago Magazine and Hispanic Executive Magazine.

In her new role, D’Angelo reports to Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton, and serves as a member of the executive committee.

"As I’ve gotten to know Anne-Marie, I’ve quickly come to appreciate her business savvy and her shared belief in the power of hospitality as a force for good in the world," Nassetta said in a statement. "In today’s increasingly complex world, global businesses need a strong legal foundation and legal leaders who equip teams with exceptional support and counsel. Anne-Marie is a recognized, respected leader with a proven track record that spans industries and complex matters, and I know she will offer outstanding strategic guidance and lead our legal function—and Hilton—with the highest level of integrity."
