Atwell Suites, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, opened its first Texas property in Austin. Atwell Suites Austin Airport marks the third U.S. open property for the brand, following debuts in Miami and Denver. The 80-room Atwell Suites Austin Airport is the brand’s first conversion property.

"At IHG, we’ve seen great success with conversions in recent years—particularly during times of tighter financial lending environments. As we continue to see an increasing desire from owners in this space, we’re excited that Atwell Suites can provide this option.”
The hotel, which is located near Austin Bergstrom International Airport and less than 20 minutes from Downtown Austin, will have the brand’s signature hallmarks:
- Flexible and enriching spaces include modern suites designed with distinct zones for work and rest, with functional workspaces and a comfortable lounge area complete with well-crafted design touches like a gallery wall above the in-room sofa (a perfect back drop for virtual meetings) and other unique surprises like secret messages. The lobby areas mix private and shared spaces in a thoughtfully designed space that incorporates elements that pay homage to local Austin culture and Texas traditions.
- Food and drink to start and end the day includes complimentary breakfast in the morning featuring a variety of quality hot and cold items such as overnight oats, vegetable egg white omelets, and the brand’s signature Churro donut. Guests will also have access to a self-serve refreshment stand featuring bean-to-cup coffee, still and sparkling water and tea 24/7. In the evenings, guests can share small plates with friends, accompanied by a variety of after-hour beverages to wind down the day including wine, local beer and delicious, ready-to-drink cocktails.
- Genuine connections inspired by conversation starter coasters at the bar, a shared TV lounge, games and puzzles placed throughout public areas, and themed events that bring guests together.
