Canopy by Hilton debuts in San Francisco

Hilton has opened the Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa in California.

The 12-story, 78,000-square-foot property is located in San Francisco’s South of Market district next to Union Square, Mission Bay, Oracle Park and Moscone Center, the city’s largest convention center. The hotel is also within walking distance to Yerba Buena Gardens, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, restaurants, bars and transit centers.

“The opening of Canopy by Hilton San Francisco SoMa marks Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in the city,” said Jenna Hackett, brand leader, Canopy by Hilton, noting that the brand has close to 40 properties open around the world.

The upscale boutique hotel has 194 guestrooms including two penthouse suites, a rooftop lounge with city views, a street-level coffee shop, a fitness center and five meeting rooms with 4,400 square feet of event space. The Mezzanine Bar & Lounge and The Velvet Room can host private dining events.

Canopy’s guestrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, black accents and modern amenities like SMEG minifridges and Nespresso machines. Each room has sliding barn doors, large walk-in rain showers and areas for arrival and getting ready. Local art and furnishings found across the property were selected to reflect the SoMa neighborhood.
