Sonesta International Hotels Corporation (Sonesta) has announced the grand opening of Sonesta Essential Plainfield, a 67-room, upper-midscale hotel in Greater Indianapolis located near the Indianapolis Speedway, Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Victory Field.
“Sonesta Essential Plainfield is the second location of one of our newest brands carefully designed to deliver the core selection of services that guests need,” Keith Pierce, Sonesta’s executive vice president and president franchise and development, said in a statement. “With Sonesta Essential, we continue to engage guests, owners and franchisees as we open properties for the modern traveler.”
Sonesta Essential, introduced earlier this year, provides guests with all the essentials for their stay. Available to franchise in the U.S., the brand offers easier new builds and conversions with modest brand standards, limited food and beverage requirements and simplified conversion processes. Sonesta Essential features elevated bedding as part of the brand’s unique sleep program, complimentary high-speed WiFi, complimentary hot breakfast, premium all-day coffee and a fitness center.

Sonesta Essential Plainfield is located at 6109 Cambridge Way in Plainfield, Indiana, and is the second Sonesta Essential to open since the brand was introduced in January.
