Essex Hotel Management appoints Richard Cambeis to new role

Essex Hotel Management has brought back industry veteran Richard Cambeis and added him to its expanding corporate team. In his new role as topline specialist, Cambeis will assist the operations and revenue management teams to drive performance across the hotel portfolio. He reports directly to Cheryl Huhn, Essex’s director of revenue and sales strategy.

Cambeis has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Most recently, he was the general manager of the Hampton Inn and Suites in Lake Placid, N.Y., that Essex operates.

Cambeis has a track record of driving revenue growth and improving guest satisfaction scores. His hands-on approach to hotel management and focus on team collaboration will be significant assets in his new role.

“We’re delighted that Rich has chosen to rejoin us in a new capacity,” Barbara Purvis, president of Essex, said in a statement. “By adding Rich to our corporate team, we're not only reinforcing our commitment to outstanding hotel management but also expanding our team's capabilities. His extensive operating and sales experience and strong leadership are sure to enrich our operations. With our team growing, we're even better positioned to offer top-quality service and reach the financial goals of our owners. This is an exciting step forward as we expand and elevate our portfolio."
