DC-based //3877 oversaw the renovation of the Courtyard by Marriott - Virginia Beach Oceanfront North, including the lobby, lounge, reception, bistro, conference room and guestrooms.
The custom decor was inspired by the hotel’s surroundings, overlooking the boardwalk and the Atlantic Ocean. Design-wise, the property incorporates bright colors, natural materials and nautical artwork. The design team used a color palette dominated by light blue hues.
Other key elements following the renovation include abstract murals painted on driftwood featured in the guestrooms; fishnet chandeliers in the bistro; nautical color scheme found throughout, including turquoise and ocean blues; metallic mirrors and Decorative planters at the reception area; gray wood ship lap paired with dark wood laminates and light tiling for the reception desk; and blue hues, wave-like carpet tiling in conference room with coordinating chairs.
