Boston’s Patch Beach inspires Wylie Inn and Conference Center renovations

Wylie Inn and Conference Center at Endicott College, which sits along a stretch of Boston’s North Shore oceanfront, has upgraded its conference center and 91 guestrooms.

The property’s designers at Design Continuum were inspired by nearby Patch Beach and used a coastal color palette of blues, greens and sandy neutrals.

The rooms were refreshed with new hard goods and a design that frames views of the 10-acre estate. The 91 rooms now have new dressers, hospitality centers and desks in cherry finish.

Meanwhile, the 17,500-square-foot waterside conference center, certified by the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), underwent a head-to-toe renovation that installed new meetings technology, improved presentation capabilities and revamped the interior design.

The conference center’s changes added technology and contemporary design while giving a nod to the history of the college that encompasses it. The center has a private venue measuring over 17,500 square feet of meetings space, including 26 meeting rooms.

Amenities at the conference center include 75-inch Samsung Digital Interactive Whiteboard Solution with ClickShare Software; portable AV carts with 65-inch Samsung Digital Interactive Whiteboard Solution and ClickShare Software; business center; leisure areas including a billiards room, lounge space and walking trail to the beach; and a video wall with six 55-inch screens at the Beverly Room.

The conference center hallways have photography from Endicott College seniors. Meetings spaces have original architectural elements, including the original basketball court floors in the Marblehead room, and other reminders of the property’s history, including images of Endicott College, vintage postcards and maps.

Located 20 miles north of Boston, in the town of Beverly, Massachusetts, the Wylie Inn and Conference Center dates back to 1901. It has 91 rooms with an on-site café restaurant and bar; IACC certified conference center; Georgian Revival estate property, Tupper Manor at Wylie Inn and Conference Center at Endicott College; fitness center; and access to private beach.
