Rock House—a luxury resort in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos operated by Grace Bay Resorts—has earned Green Key Certification.
Rock House incorporated sustainability measures during its design and construction as part of its long-term environmental management strategy. Those efforts include greywater harvesting systems to reduce water consumption, a refillable water bottle program with filtered water stations to reduce single-use plastics, PVC-free materials throughout the property, bamboo guest key cards and operational practices designed to reduce environmental impact.
Green Key is an international eco-certification recognizing hotels and resorts for environmental management and sustainable tourism practices. The certification was awarded following an independent third-party audit evaluating the property's environmental management, resource conservation, waste reduction and sustainability initiatives.
“Receiving Green Key Certification is an important milestone for Rock House and a testament to our team's dedication to responsible luxury hospitality,” Nikheel Advani, COO and co-founder of Grace Bay Resorts, said in a statement. “From the earliest stages of the resort's development, long before being woven into guest experience, sustainability was integrated into the construction and building of this property.”
