Vision expands in South with groundbreaking, openings

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based Vision Hospitality Group further expanded its presence in the South this week with a groundbreaking in Huntsville, Ala. The news comes days after the company revealed it had opened a dual-branded Tru by Hilton/Home2 Suites by Hilton in Georgia and a Tru by Hilton in Tennessee.

Slated to open in early 2021, the 150-room Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Huntsville Downtown will be situated within walking distance of a variety of shops and restaurants. It will feature standard brand amenities, including a business center and fitness center.

“We are excited to partner with Hilton to develop the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown Huntsville,” Mitch Patel, Vision Hospitality Group president/CEO, said in a statement. “Huntsville continues to see significant growth with new developments such as the Toyota/Mazda and Blue Origin manufacturing plants, which create a demand for quality accommodations at an attractive rate."

Less than a week ago, Vision Hospitality Group opened its first dual-brand property, the 170-room Tru by Hilton/Home2 Suites by Hilton Atlanta NW Kennesaw (Ga.). The hotel features two distinct lobbies and dining areas, as well as a shared fitness center and outdoor pool. The hotels are located 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta near Kennesaw State University.

The hotel management/development company debuted the 90-room Tru by Hilton Chattanooga (Tenn.)/Hamilton Place in its hometown the following day, Oct. 4. The hotel features a 24/7 market and fitness center. It is located in the retail and business district Hamilton Place, just 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga and less than 4 miles from the Chattanooga Airport.

Affiliates of Vision Hospitality Group own the three properties. In total, the company manages 4,284 rooms across 40 hotels.
