Hidden wonders: Valcucine’s Genius Loci kitchen storage

Valcucine launched the Genius Loci, a new range of kitchen storage units. Named after the Latin for “spirit of place”, the Genius Loci wall and kitchen island was inspired by traditional bureaus and writing desks with hidden drawers. Inside the drawers, Valcucine configured different arrangements to help users access the items within. The drawers come in two options – a drawer with a slanted facade that is angled outwards toward the bottom, and a flat lying, more minimal alternative that sits flush with the kitchen doors. The Genius Loci range can be customized to suit different interiors, with inlay options, such as marble or carved wood, and metallic finishes including copper or antiques brass. The new collection also has a slimmer work surface and lower plinth height, making room for larger base units with 15% more storage space.

Valcucine is an Italian kitchen brand founded in 1980 by Giovanni Dino Cappellotto, Gabriele Centazzo, Franco Corbetta and Silvio Verardo.
