Hospitality Ventures Management Group appointed Andrew J. Pace SVP of business development. In his new role, Pace will assist with growing and supporting HVMG’s third-party management and new development efforts.

Before joining HVMG, Pace served as SVP at Strand Hospitality, where he oversaw the growth of the company’s 36-hotel portfolio. During his time in the industry, he also has worked as VP/director of development with Hotel Equities and president of mergers, acquisitions and development with Atlanta-based Longhouse Hospitality. Earlier in his career, Pace founded Suite One Hotels, an extended-stay brand located throughout the Southeast.

“Having worked with Andrew in the past, I am well aware of his unique abilities to source and expand growth opportunities, which is consistent with HVMG’s growth targets as we continue to expand our portfolio of owned and operated hotels throughout the United States,” Mary Beth Cutshall, EVP and chief development officer at HVMG, said in a statement. “With more than two decades of experience in all aspects of the industry, from creating and launching a hotel brand to working with hotel owners on management opportunities to overseeing ground-up hotel development, Andrew is the perfect candidate to help HVMG achieve its robust growth goals.”

“I welcome the opportunity to join a well-established hospitality organization with a healthy appetite for growth,” Pace said in a statement. “I look forward to drawing on my experience and relationships as the company continues to differentiate itself as an excellent management company and maintains its impressive growth.”

HVMG is a privately owned hotel investment and management group based in Atlanta. It operates 41 hotels and convention centers totaling 6,806 guestrooms.
