Radisson Hotel Group signs 2 resorts for Poland

Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement with Zdrojowa Invest & Hotels for two new-build Radisson resorts in Poland. The hotels will bring RHG's portfolio in the country to 18 properties across five brands.

The 104-room Radisson Resort Szklarska Poręba is due to open in time for the upcoming winter season. Public space will include a compact water park, an all-year outdoor Jacuzzi and a sauna and bath zone.

The opening for the 209-room Radisson Resort Kołobrzeg is planned for next summer and will be the first hotel under an international hotel brand in the seaside resort.

Zdrojowa Hotels will operate both properties.

Earlier this year, Michael Grove, director of hotel intelligence and customer solutions at HotStats, noted there is growing demand for branded properties in Poland. “Supply growth has been incredible for the last four or five years. They see it as an exciting area for growth.”

RHG has been active in the country. The Radisson Blu Hotel & Residences, Zakopane opened in June at the foothills of the Tatras Mountains. In February, the company indicated it would rebrand the former Radisson Blu in Warsaw to its Radisson Collection. Days later, Radisson Hospitality AB, part of RHG, signed a deal to open the Radisson Red Warsaw.
