St. Regis in Quivira, Los Cabos set to open in early 2021

Marriot International's St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is set to grow in Mexico. The company has signed the St. Regis Los Cabos, a 120-room hotel and 60 residences in Quivira, Los Cabos, to open in early 2021.

“We look forward to a successful partnership with Impulsora del Golfo de Cortéz  S.A. de CV, Gran Armee del Cabo S.A. de C.V., and SB Architects,” Lisa Holladay, global brand leader, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, said in a statement. “The rapid expansion of St. Regis, one of Marriott’s ultra-luxury brands, underscores an increasing demand from travelers...We are thrilled to be expanding our footprint in Mexico by growing in upscale destinations such Quivira, Los Cabos, and through The Ritz-Carlton, Mexico City.”

The St. Regis Los Cabos at Quivira offers access to Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos International Airport and attractions like the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus golf course.

“Thanks to an increase in affluent national and international travelers, Los Cabos’ profile and luxury landscape has grown rapidly in the past years, creating an ideal opportunity for St. Regis,” Laurent De Kousemaeker, CDO of Marriott International in the Caribbean and Latin America said.

 Swimming pools, a saltwater lagoon and a destination spa are included in the St. Regis Los Cabos' list of recreational facilities. 

The hotel will be part of the 1,850-acre master-planned luxury Quivira community on the Pacific West Coast. The community includes a private beach club, village center, nature reserves and over 20 miles of walking and biking trails.

There are two St. Regis properties in Mexico, one in Mexico City and another in Punta Mita. Marriott International operates 69 hotels in Mexico under The Ritz-Carlton, W, JW Marriott, Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin, Le Méridien, Marriott, Aloft, Courtyard by Marriott, Four Points by Sheraton, Fairfield Inn & Suites and AC Hotels by Marriott.
