New global culinary VP joins Hakkasan Group

Hospitality company Hakkasan Group appointed Jacques Sorci as VP culinary global. In this new role, Sorci will bring his global perspective and extensive experience to lead Hakkasan Group’s culinary teams worldwide. Sorci will oversee culinary operations across Hakkasan Group’s portfolio and provide leadership to all brand and development chefs on menu creation and refinement.

Sorci joins Hakkasan Group with more than 30 years of experience in fine dining, most recently having served as executive chef at Lotte New York Palace. Before joining Lotte New York Palace, Sorci lent his expertise as executive chef at The Carlyle New York, where he led all culinary operations at the iconic property. For almost 20 years, Sorci has also held a number of positions at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he was named the inaugural “Maitre Cuisiner de France” in 2003, an exclusive title awarded to those who exemplify excellence in the culinary community.

Hakkasan Group’s portfolio includes a number of hotel restaurants in Las Vegas, such as Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant and Fix Restaurant and Bar at Bellagio Resort and Casino; Stack Steakhouse & Restaurant at The Mirage Hotel & Casino; and Citizens, Kumi Sushi Restaurant and Red Square Vodka Bar at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
