Virgin Hotels Collection, the hospitality group behind Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition, officially appointed Joe Margison as chief executive officer, following his tenure as interim CEO since October.

“Having led the Virgin Hotels Collection team for seven months, I have seen first-hand the strength of this business and the opportunity ahead,” Margison said in the statement announcing his appointment. “Virgin Hotels and Virgin Limited Edition are distinct brands united by the same Virgin spirit—brilliant people, service with real warmth and character and experiences guests remember long after they leave. We have a strong foundation and a significant opportunity ahead. I’m excited to lead the business through its next chapter of growth.”

“Joe’s appointment as chief executive officer reflects the leadership he has shown since stepping into the role,” added Peter Norris, chair of Virgin Hotels Collection. “He has brought clarity, confidence and renewed focus to the business while continuing to champion Virgin’s distinctive spirit and experience-led approach to hospitality. We are delighted to confirm his permanent appointment and look forward to the next phase of growth under his leadership.”
