Davidson adds SVP of transitions, operations strategy

Davidson Hotels & Resorts appointed Rob Morgan to SVP of transitions and operations strategy. In his new role, Morgan is responsible for leading a variety of strategic initiatives with the operations strategy team to ensure productivity and streamlined communication between the business development and operations teams. He is also redesigning Davidson Hotels & Resorts’ transition process as the company prepares for expansion with forthcoming acquisitions and new-build developments.

Morgan joined Davidson Hotels & Resorts with a lifetime of hospitality experience, most recently from launching his own hospitality consulting business, where he assisted hotel owners, asset managers and management companies achieve profitability and consistent operational excellence. His resume includes a career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, where he grew into several management positions throughout his nearly 12-year tenure, ultimately serving as senior director of portfolio and project management.

In this corporate-level position, Morgan was tasked with overseeing transitions, property improvement plans and renovations in addition to working with the real estate team to assess potential conversion opportunities during the company’s time of greatest growth. He was then hired by HEI Hotels & Resorts where developed a team and process for transitioning new acquisitions before advancing to regional VP of HEI’s largest region.
