Dream Hotel Group signs on two new executives

Dream Hotel Group appointed Ryan Walker to VP of eCommerce & digital strategy, and Kathryn Barrett to VP of revenue management.

Kathryn Barrett returns to Dream Hotel Group from Revenue Optimization Consultants, where she most recently served as regional director of revenue strategy, overseeing annual market and submarket forecasts, budget strategy and analysis for 80 properties in the greater New York area. Previously, as area director of revenue management for New York Hotel Management, where she was tasked with increasing RevPAR rank, index and ADR for two New York hotels – Staybridge Suites Times Square and Holiday Inn Downtown Brooklyn. Prior roles also include revenue manager at Dream Hotel Group (formerly Hampshire Hotels & Resorts), overseeing the 334-room Best Western President, now The Gallivant, in Times Square, as well as several management positions at Cape Resorts Group.

As VP of revenue management, Kathryn will be responsible for the successful integration of new technologies and synergies between revenue, analysis, sales and distribution channels to drive profitability for Dream Hotel Group and its portfolio of 18 hotels worldwide. With more than 10 years’ experience working with major hospitality brands and independents, Kathryn has a proven track record in established revenue management and leading hotels to success.

Ryan Walker joins Dream Hotel Group from sbe Hospitality Group, where he most recently served as senior director of eCommerce and mobile, overseeing the development and implementation of all digital marketing campaigns and eCommerce strategies for sbe’s portfolio of 23 hotels. In his new role, Ryan Walker will be responsible for managing all online sales and marketing initiatives for Dream Hotel Group corporate and its portfolio of brands, including websites, online and search marketing partners, and electronic marketing distribution channels. He will also oversee the strategic development and management of new eCommerce initiatives for the company’s portfolio of 18 hotels worldwide. With nearly 15 years’ experience in leading digital teams at major hospitality and retail brands, Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in new and emerging technologies to drive brand performance and measurable business growth.

With 18 hotels open today and and the largest pipeline in the company’s history, Dream Hotel Group is on track to triple its existing portfolio by 2022.
