Concord Hospitality, First Hospitality add VPs

Concord Hospitality promoted both Andy Burch and Ben Haller to senior vice president of operations to assist and oversee the company's expanding portfolio. A hospitality veteran of more than 30 years, Burch joined the company in August 1997 and has held a demonstrated passion for the business, taking on positions in all facets of operations including food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, administration, finance, pre-opening, business development/underwriting and acquisitions. His experience includes full-service, select-service, extended-stay, lifestyle brands, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Hilton and Choice properties. With his recent promotion, Burch will oversee the opening and expansion of Concord’s new hotels across the company's portfolio.

In addition, Haller has also been promoted from regional vice president to senior vice president of operations. In his 26 years in hospitality, Haller has worked in more than 60 different hotels across the United States. With experience in acquisitions, divestitures, resorts, airport hotels, suburban hotels and independent golf resort conference centers, Haller has continued to apply his depth of knowledge to his role aiding Concord Hospitality in its strong growth plan.

First Hospitality has appointed Larry Costakis as vice president of construction and development. As vice president of construction and development, Costakis will lead the First Hospitality Construction and Development Division. His responsibilities include project management, quality assurance, strategic planning, as well as fostering owner and partner relationships.  

“We are excited to welcome Larry to the team to lead our construction and renovation efforts as we continue to expand nationally,” said President and CEO David Duncan. “Larry’s experience brings a wealth of knowledge that encompasses everything from ground-up builds to comprehensive renovations and will be a strong asset to our team.”

Costakis has more than 25 years of experience in construction, and has overseen more than 100 hotel construction projects in leadership positions with stayAPT, AJ Capital Partners and Extended Stay America. Beyond the hotel industry, Costakis has worked in multifamily and self-storage projects during his time as vice president of construction for Banner Real Estate Group. He was of director of construction for Brunswick Corporation - Bowling & Billiards, and was a project executive with Burling Builders.
