Greg Moundas rejoins Aimbridge

Aimbridge Hospitality names Greg Moundas its chief legal officer, re-assuming the role after a short stint away from the organization. Moundas will play a key role on the executive team, reporting directly to Aimbridge CEO Craig Smith, and is charged with overseeing legal, risk management, compliance, licensing, and contracts. In addition to proven experience in these areas, he also brings an understanding of Aimbridge’s business model, its owners, and the industry at large given that he spent more than a decade helping build Aimbridge into the company it is today, including overseeing the integration of Interstate.

“As we further optimize our business and create a performance-led culture, I’m excited to welcome Greg Moundas back to Aimbridge and look forward to working side-by-side as we transform our approach and accelerate actions that put the property team at the center of our strategy,” Smith said in a statement. “Greg’s extensive understanding of our business and the industry, along with the fresh perspective he brings today, will be invaluable as we work to deepen trust and consistently deliver for our owners, brand partners and associates.”

Moundas first joined Aimbridge in 2011, holding legal positions of escalating responsibility and serving as general counsel/chief legal officer for more than a decade prior to his departure for a chief growth officer and partner role with Mayfair Management Group. In addition to providing strategic legal insights as a key member of the Aimbridge executive team, Moundas also oversaw a substantial number of transactions, including the negotiation, structure, completion, and integration of multiple merger and acquisition deals valued at more than $1 billion.
