HE, LivAway, Paramount Hospitality name new execs

Hotel Equities, LivAway Suites and Paramount Hospitality Management have all named or promoted several executives within their companies this week. 

Hotel Equities 

Hotel Equities promoted two finance and accounting. Hyangsoon Ha expands her role as VP of finance and accounting and Suzanne Heller has been promoted to VP of accounting.

In her newly expanded role, Hyangsoon oversees financial reporting and analyzes data that supports decision-making and long-term financial strategy planning in both Canada and the United States. Since joining HE in 2020, Hyangsoon has been integral in developing and implementing strategic finance procedures, including communicating process enhancements, training and developing staff and evaluating departmental efficiencies.

Heller has extensive financial and management expertise, with a noteworthy 13-year focus on real estate and hotel management. In her new role, she oversees various aspects of financial management to include day-to-day operations, with a primary focus on maintaining accurate and timely financial records. She and her team are responsible for ensuring compliance in financial reporting, the establishment and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensuring the precision of financial records.

LivAway Suites

Economy extended-stay hotel brand LivAway Suites named Lori DeLeon as the new vice president of national sales and marketing and facilitator of its proprietary sales platform, SellAway.   

DeLeon has more than 35 years of sales experience in national, regional and local sales and marketing for extended-stay properties. Previous roles include regional director of sales at stayAPT Suites and divisional vice president of sales at Nationwide Hotel Management Company as well as senior sales and marketing positions at Red Roof Inn, G6 Hospitality, Radisson Plaza, Wyndham and Doubletree Hotel by Hilton. 

DeLeon will be responsible for implementing LivAway Suites’ proprietary sales program, SellAway. SellAway begins with a six-month pre-opening sales plan focused on segment analysis, in-person calls and a comprehensive pre-opening, ramp-up and stabilization checklist. The Marketing awareness campaign includes eMarketing, in-market sales blitzes and follow-up. 1

Paramount Hospitality Management

Paramount Hospitality Management added four professionals to its team.

Patricia George joins the leadership team as corporate director of e-commerce and marketing. With more than 10 years of experience in marketing and brand building exclusively for hospitality, George is experienced in leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels, developing launch strategies, optimizing ROI and managing vendor relationships. George has experience working for major worldwide hotel and hospitality brands, including Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt.

Mya Williams is the new corporate digital marketing specialist. Williams is experienced in social media and website management, content creation and photography. She has worked with entertainment and hospitality brands, successfully elevating brand recognition and engagement.

Gary Rodriguez was named GM at Avanti International Resort. His career started as an assistant front office manager on I-Drive in Orlando, working his way up through the ranks to ultimately hold multiple general manager positions with Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Holiday Inn & Suites Universal, and Vesta Hospitality. 

Kerstin Glenn was promoted to dual property sales and catering manager. Glenn has experience in food and beverage, events, lodging and sales. In her role at Avanti Palms Resort, she spends her time building rapport with managers and current clientele, booking multiple new events and maintaining her signature file organization system.
