Peachtree, Graduate, Meyer Jabara name new executives

Several hospitality companies have announced new leadership appointments or promotions so far this month.

Peachtree Hospitality Management 

Peachtree Hospitality Management appointed Kathleen "Kat" James to vice president of sales, responsible for managing and overseeing the sales strategies that support the overall profitability and growth of PHM's portfolio of hotels. She will report to Vickie Callahan, PHM's senior vice president of revenue generation.

James has more than 20 years in the hospitality industry and has direct experience overseeing sales and marketing for national hotel brands and management companies. Before joining Peachtree, James was senior director of sales and head of focused service sales for Sonesta International Hotels Corp. She also held leadership positions with Starwood Hotels & Reports Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group and LodgeWorks.

Graduate Hotels

Graduate Hotels appointed Michaella Solar-March chief marketing officer. Based in the brand’s Nashville headquarters, she will drive global marketing strategy for Graduate Hotels’ more than 33 hotels across the U.S. and U.K. Solar-March has nearly two decades of diversified experience leading integrated marketing efforts for companies in the lifestyle, hospitality and real estate industries, including Rockefeller Center, Tishman Speyer, Soho House & Co. and Sonos. 

Solar-March most recently served as managing director at MA Financial based in Sydney as chief marketing officer for MA Hotel Management, a hospitality platform with six funds across a $2 billion hospitality portfolio. There, she was responsible for strategic brand marketing and creative for all assets under management, including Redcape Hotel Group portfolio, which owns and operates 35 community-focused venues, as well as 24 bottle shops, three accommodation venues, and The Australian Brewery.

Meyer Jabara Hotels 

Heather Sanborn was promoted to corporate director of revenue management at Meyer Jabara Hotels. Previously serving as regional director of revenue management, Sanborn is now responsible for overseeing the entire portfolio and assisting regional revenue managers in their day-to-day tasks.

Before joining Meyer Jabara Hotels, Sanborn served as senior regional revenue manager for Chartwell Hospitality, a post she held for more than a decade. She also worked as director of revenue management at Embassy Suites Nashville Vanderbilt; director of reservations for the Mandarin Oriental Washington, D.C.; and both assistant operations manager and reservations manager for Loews Hotels in Nashville and Washington, D.C., respectively.
