Hotel Equities, Innisfree Hotels, Mission Hill Hospitality appoint executives

Hotel Equities, Innisfree Hotels and Mission Hill Hospitality have all appointed executives this week.

Hotel Equities

Hotel Equities added two people to its leadership team in the areas of operations and finance. Brad Read is the company's new VP of finance and Shannon Foster is VP of operations.

Read has a professional background in strategic finance and commercial leadership with a track record driving commercial growth, cost containment and profitability. His experience includes directing end-to-end financials both on domestic and international levels, including budgeting and forecasting, revenue optimization, financial analysis and market strategy.

Foster will support the firm’s growing lifestyle vertical, the Greenwood Hospitality portfolio of hotels. Before joining Hotel Equities, Shannon was area vice president of operations for HRI Lodging, overseeing the group’s lifestyle division. In this capacity, she led her team to gains in guest satisfaction and revenue growth by initiating operating procedures and cost containment plans.

Innisfree Hotels

Innisfree Hotels appointed Jason Nicholson to SVP of development and asset management. Operating from Innisfree's Gulf Breeze headquarters, Nicholson will focus on the cultivation of new opportunities, targeted acquisitions and the enrichment of business assets and alliances.

Nicholson's transition from his prior role as vice president of operations has been seamless, according to the company, which expects his background in managing 29 diversified properties and his contributions to acquisition strategies will help Innisfree expand its footprint.

Nicholson was instrumental in the recent acquisition of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Jekyll Island, Ga., and the opening of The Fairfield Inn & Suites on Pensacola Beach, Fla. Currently, he is spearheading the development of three new hotels and negotiating the acquisition of two more, each in unique markets. These endeavors are in addition to his oversight of multimillion-dollar renovations across existing Innisfree assets.

Mission Hill Hospitality

Mission Hill Hospitality named Tom Barber the company's new chief financial officer. Barber joined Mission Hill Hospitality as managing director of acquisitions when the firm was launched in March 2021.

Barber's career has focused on finance, operations, strategy and M&A. Before joining Mission Hill, he was global chief development officer of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, where he had direct global responsibility for sales and design and construction.

From 2012 to 2017, Barber was head of corporate development for Wyndham Worldwide, where he led the spinoff of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts from Wyndham Worldwide, the $2 billion acquisition of La Quinta Hotels & Resorts and the $1.3 billion divestiture of European Rentals, among other transactions.
