Loews Miami Beach Hotel has received the Certified Autism Center (CAC) designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards.

The Florida hotel was recognized following autism and sensory-awareness training completed by at least 80 percent of its guest-facing employees and management team. As part of the certification process, IBCCES conducted an onsite review of the property and developed sensory guides while providing recommendations to further support accessibility for autistic and sensory-sensitive guests.

“At Loews Miami Beach Hotel, hospitality means creating an environment where every guest and family feels genuinely welcomed, understood and supported,” Mutluhan Kucuk, complex managing director at Loews Miami Beach Hotel, said in a statement. “Achieving hotel-wide autism certification through IBCCES is an important milestone for our team, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful, inclusive service and ensuring we are equipped with the training and resources to better anticipate and accommodate diverse guest needs.”

The certification is part of a broader effort led by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to establish the region as a Certified Autism Destination. The designation recognizes destinations that offer multiple certified lodging, entertainment and recreational options supported by trained staff.

“Loews Miami Beach getting this designation is a big deal, and we hope it inspires more of our hotel partners to follow their lead,” added GMCVB president and CEO David Whitaker.

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is also listed on the IBCCES Accessibility App, which provides information on certified destinations, sensory-friendly spaces and accessibility resources for travelers with disabilities.
