Dallas-based Prism Hotels & Resorts created two new positions to serve the company's growing portfolio. Ghee Alexander has been promoted from GM of the El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort, to fill the role of SVP of operations, while Jeff Miller has been hired as corporate regional director of sales. Prism Hotels & Resorts’ president and CEO Steve Van made the announcement.
Alexander is a hospitality industry veteran with 25 years of experience in a variety of roles. His first GM position came at age 26 when he spent six years at Lodgian. Alexander joined Prism seven years ago as GM of the Doubletree by Hilton Memphis Downtown before serving as GM of the El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort, leading the property through a renovation and repositioning.
A 13-year hospitality professional, Miller will serve as corporate regional director of sales and work closely with the property-based director of sales to grow revenues and improve market share. He will act as a liaison between the Prism corporate office and his assigned hotel properties and will be responsible for planning direct sales strategies for new and existing properties. Previously, Miller held multiple sales positions for HEI Hotels & Resorts, TPG Hotels & Resorts and most recently with Interstate Hotels & Resorts in Dallas.
