4 hotels open in Texas

A TownePlace Suites by Marriott, a Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites, a Virgin Hotel and a Hyatt Place opened in Texas recently. Together, the four openings added 523 guestrooms to the Lone Star State.

Marriott

Two Marriott-branded hotels opened in Texas this week: the 87-key TownePlace Suites by Marriott El Paso North and the 72-room Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Fort Worth Northeast in Hurst. Owned by Summit TP EP and managed by Esperanto Developments, the TownePlace Suites is located roughly 15 minutes from downtown El Paso and includes a fitness center and a meeting room. The Fairfield, owned by CN Churchill II and operated by Abcons Corp., is located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and includes an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and meeting space.

Virgin Hotels

Virgin Hotels officially opened its third property, Virgin Hotels Dallas, last month. The new-build hotel features 268 rooms, a rooftop terrace with a pool and multiple food-and-beverage outlets. The hotel also offers more than 15,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The property was developed in partnership with Bill Hutchinson of Dunhill Partners and is operated by Virgin Hotels. 5G Studio Collaborative served as the architectural firm.

Hyatt

The 96-room Hyatt Place Waco – South also opened in December. Located 5 miles from downtown Waco, the hotel includes a grab-and-go market, a bar, event space, a fitness center and an indoor heated pool. DePalma Hotels & Resorts operates the property.
