BroughtonHotels to open Park James Hotel in California's Silicon Valley

In Menlo Park, Calif., the Park James Hotel, part of BroughtonHotels, is scheduled to open as a 61-room luxury boutique hotel on September 24. Parisa Oconnell Interior Design was involved in bringing the project to life.

Upon entering the lobby of the property located in Menlo Park, guests will see the saying “No Strangers Here, Only New Friends” etched upon the entryway. Subtle Irish nuances will be seen into the design, hinting at Menlo Park’s heritage and history.

Connectivity will be an important feature of the Park James with social and work spaces going to be interchangeable. The lobby will lead to an indoor/outdoor bar, while the O+V Courtyard will have an outdoor lounge with movable seating, communal tables and Irish throws.

All room types will have high-end furnishings and fabrics outfitted in an earthy color palette. Amenities will include Frette sheets, Momo toiletries, in-room pour-over coffee and a mini bar. There will also be in-room tablet controls and digital entry pads. Each hotel room will similarly have oversized windows that open to the outdoors.

The suites will have 180-degree panoramic views, areas with Murphy beds and an open living space.

For dining, the property will have Oak +Violet, which will have open views to the kitchen and outside patio; and Experience Dining Bar, which will be cloaked in Connemara marble.

It will also have 1,200 square feet of flexible meeting space.

The Park James Hotel is located in the center of Silicon Valley, near Menlo Park’s downtown. Weston Spiegl is the GM of The Park James.
