New SpringHill Suites by Marriott opens in Newark, Del.

Marriott International opened the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Newark, Del. The 132-suite hotel, located at 402 Ogletown Road, will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Danneman Hospitality and managed by TKo Hospitality Management of Newport, Del. General manager Scott Craver and director of sales Stephanie Patterson lead the management team at the hotel.

The hotel offers guests access to the University of Delaware, the Christiana Mall and Fashion Center, the Bob Carpenter Center, the STAR Campus and major corporations such as W.L. Gore, Siemens, JP Morgan Chase and Barclay.

Designed for business and leisure travelers, the new hotel offers extra space with suites larger than a typical hotel rooms. Separate living, working and sleeping spaces are available, and each suite also includes SpringHill Suites’ custom, three-in-one West Elm sofa that converts from a sofa to a daybed to a trundle bed. The designated work space offers a desk.
