St. Regis Hotels & Resorts debuts in Jordan

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened The St. Regis Amman, marking the debut of the luxury brand in the Kingdom of Jordan.

Drawing inspiration from the brand's history as well as the Bedouin-Jordanian culture, Perkins Eastman worked with Hirsch Bedner Associates to design the property.

Opulent décor and plush interiors are accentuated by bespoke elements, such as a grand staircase and chandeliers, while subtle nuances highlight elements unique to the destination, including the Dead Sea and sculpted rose stones of Petra.

An art collection adorns the corridors and public spaces, highlighting the work of artists from Jordan and the Levant region. A mural named The Arabian Horses is found in The St. Regis Bar. The mural, inspired by the majesty of Arabian horses, pays tribute to the history of Jordan's Hashemite Kingdom.

The 16-story hotel has 260 guestrooms, suites and serviced apartments, all with views of the city.

For dining, The St. Regis Amman has Mercado Andaluz, the first Spanish restaurant in the city; Tamara, which offers Levantine cuisine; Tea Lounge; and St. Regis Bar, which was inspired by the King Cole Bar at the brand's flagship in New York.

For events, the property has the Astor Ballroom, which features a dedicated entrance and as the largest pillarless ballroom in the city; and four meeting rooms.

The St. Regis Amman's Iridium Spa has seven treatment suites; while the St. Regis Athletic Club has cardio and strength equipment and an outdoor pool.
